There is no general problem with the Verizon iPhones. This is the default message for any sort of error, so it is hard to know what is going on without logs. That means you should open a PMR so that logs can be analyzed to see - is the device even connecting to the server, do you have a proxy, if it is connecting, where is the error, etc..
